The LGW participated in the Peace in the Park project at Central Park in New York City, talking about its educational programs that promote a Culture of Peace in public and private schools across seven countries.
Gita Patel, who coordinates this organization in Los Angeles (USA), visited the Seven-Sided Pyramid together with Luciana Ferraz, from Brahma Kumaris in Brazil, who was her interpreter: “She really felt that this is a House of Peace, especially when she was standing before the Mandala. She was able to feel all the radiating energy and to see how God is offering all of His qualities to all of us.”
In 2003, October 21 was officially declared as Ecumenism Day in several Brazilian cities to honor the inauguration date of the TGW in Brasília, a monument that is a symbol of Ecumenism in the world. To celebrate the date, the Legion of Good Will (LGW) held an Ecumenical Act in the Nave of the Temple of Peace on October 18, 2019, which brought together authorities from various countries, religious leaders, representatives of several areas of human knowledge and of civil society organizations. The Good Will Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ecumenical Choir brightened up the event, which was also attended by children helped by the LGW.
